On Sunday, 10th March 2019, a woman in her 30s was attacked by a Jaguar while trying to take a picture too close to the big cat.
The incident took place at 6.40 pm in the Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium and Safari Park in Litchfield Park, Arizona, about 20 miles west of Phoenix. The woman climbed the concrete barrier trying to take a picture. She was attacked by the Jaguar in the enclosure, who left a deep gash on her arm. She was rescued by other visitors of the zoo and was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Later, she returned to the zoo to apologize for her mistake too the zoo officials. Zoo officials have assured that the jaguar won’t be put down.
