On the early morning of Thursday, February 8 of 2018, a woman was taking a selfie with a friend on a railway track in Bangkok, Thailand when she was hit by a train. She later died in a Hospital.
The victim, named Walailak Sukuma, 28 years old, alledgedly had been drinking near Sam Sen train station in Bangkok’s Phaya Thai district before the incident.
She was hit while attempting to take a photo with an outgoing train in the background, but failed to spot an oncoming train approaching the station, reports say. Her leg was severed, while her friend, 24-year-old Amnaj Nawantip, suffered a head injury and a broken arm.
Ms Walailak was declared dead hours later at the Bangkok hospital.
